Storm water outlets remove water from infrastructure around cities and often moves it into the environment. This makes it important to know what the water contains when it comes to potentially dangerous chemicals or waste.

Zero need for infrastructure

As Nero is mounted under a drone there is no need to have a sampling unit permanently placed at storm water outlets. This means saving money on sampling and being able to sample more locations with ease.

Improved water quality monitoring

Being able to quickly deploy Nero allows for increased sampling rates at various locations, meaning more data is collected at storm water outlets. This means water quality and other parameters can be better monitored and tracked over time.

Access hard-to-reach and dangerous outlets

Nero is able to access hard-to-reach and dangerous areas thanks to its complete removal of personnel from physically sampling collections. Nero's 3-metre-long sampling hose also makes collecting from tricky locations a lot easier to do.

Other benefits of using Nero

  • Mutiple samples, one flight – Multiple samples can be taken in a single flight, making collecting samples from multiple outlets or areas within an outlet easy and efficient.
  • Human factor is removed – Nero removes the need for personnel to physically collect samples, improving safety and decreasing sampling costs.
  • Easily collect temperature data – Nero Poli's built-in temperature sensor allows the temperature to be collected and monitored over time.
